How to submit your Genuine Student Statement (GSS)

All Genuine Student Statements should be completed in the relevant template below. Click on the yellow button at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: These forms are for SCU Metro Campuses (Sydney, Melbourne and Perth) and Hotel School applicants only. Main Campus applicants should use the Main Campus form.

There are 2 templates:

1: The onshore and low risk (streamlined) GSS Template
This is a pdf form and should be completed in the provided template and uploaded to StudyLink.
All questions MUST be responded to. If not relevant, please type ‘not applicable’ in the text box.
Supporting documentation is generally NOT required, however, there may be occasion when this will be requested. We will notify you if you are required to provide supporting documentation.

2: The medium and high-risk GSS Template
This is an online form, and you should complete the form and upload supporting documents against the relevant question as required.
Please be aware that questions and documents marked with a red asterix (*) are mandatory and you will not be able to submit the GSS without providing the required information.
Blank documents will not be accepted and will be considered the same as if the documentation has not been provided. This will impact the outcome of the GSS.
Please ensure that you upload supporting documentation for each claim you make.
All claims relating to a single question must be combined and uploaded as a single document.
Please DO NOT submit the GSS until ALL required supporting documentation has been attached.

Genuine Student Statement

Onshore and Level 1 applicants

Onshore students who are requested to provide a GSS and applicants from Level 1 countries are required to complete the Onshore and Low Risk GSS Template. This should be completed in the provided template and uploaded to StudyLink. Do not attach supporting documentation unless specifically requested to do so.

NOTE: If your country is not listed in the group of countries above, it will be considered a Level 2 or Level 3 country even if it is not found in the lists below and you must then use the medium and high risk GSS template.

Level 2 and Level 3 applicants

All students from Level 2 and 3 countries are required to submit the online medium and high-risk GSS template with supporting documentation. Level 2 and 3 countries are listed below.
